Williams injury situation is baffling. Fit enough to make the bench at the start of the season, then disappears. Reappears, gets a game, disappears again. It's still the same injury he got first time he was with us right? Can't believe it's been so long! I've not listened to the pre-match pressers recently. Has anything been said about it? He'd be a massive positive if and when fit.
LJ gets asked about him regularly on radio Sheffield and its becoming a bit of a comedy now. It seems he's a couple of weeks away but besides from twenty minutes we've not seen him all season. Something isn't right that's for sure and I don't think it's all injury related (physically I mean)/
Agree, sometimes injuries are mental. Scans don't show anything but the player still feels something. Man the **** up and get on with it is the only course of action.
I fear it could be an "actual" mental illness in which case your comments are a tad inappropriate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Absolutely. Flicker spoke some ****** at times but he was absolutely bang on when he said that a lot of modern footballers don't know the difference between being hurt and being injured.
I've heard Fergie mention it too. Players think they are injured when there's no evidence to suggest they are. It's just a psychological barrier that they can only get over by getting on with it.
I do think the issue is psychological because as LJ keeps saying they can't find anything on scans and its proving to be a bit of a mystery to the medical people.
That is one of the best covers of all time in my book. I first heard it in a guitar shop in Leeds about 1985 and went out & bought the LP it was on. (Rest of the LP is bang average, although Cooder is a great guitar player & producer.
True mate. Just like the lusting over JOS. The club respond to what the fans ask for, then get hammered for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
