    Dunno but they've got 7 or 8 Germans in their squad so maybe a couple of them who Stendel is familiar with that aren't going to be regulars?

    That’s a great shout.

    From what I saw of Shrewsbury (albeit was limited amounts) he looked very good for them.

    Don't know about players but I've just heard were trying to sign Delia Smith to do catering in ponty end 3 year deal.

    Just had a look on web, couldn’t find anything about Swansea but Norwich have apparently offered him an improved contract and their manager sees him as part of their first team. So I think we can safely say we won’t be signing him, unfortunately.

    Ben Godfrey would be a great signing. Holding midfield player and responsible for excellent Shrewsbury defensive record last season. I do think we need to strengthen in that area and Godfrey would be 100% good signing for us. The other Shrewsbury loanee last season was Carlton Morris. If you want a bustling, muscular striker, who puts himself about - ok. I don't particularly rate him and we seem ok for strikers, presuming that we keep Moore and Bradshaw as seems probable. I don't know much about Norwich's German contingent, but most of them were around the first team last season, so I would be surprised. Incidentally, Jerome Sinclair = brilliant signing for Sunderland today. With links to other German management teams, I would think that Stendel will be talking to Huddersfield and Norwich just now.

    If it's possibly a German then it may be Denis Srbeny on a season long loan, especially now they have brought Rhodes in plus a Finnish striker

    Yes it would be, it'd be a loan though.

    Searching around for a tenuous link between us and Godfrey - best I can come up with is that his substitution was responsible for us winning the JPT (He was playing for York and they were 1-0 up until he went off, we went on to win 2-1 and the rest is history!)
