Just seen the individual player stats over the course of the season not surprised pinnock Jackson and Lindsay up there on the games that they have played going to be some competition when mills and Jackson are back fit I wonder what Jose will go with when he has all 4 available

Any 2 combination of Lindsay, Pinnock, or Jackson suits me

Pinnock and Lindsay will command the bigger fees, but Pinnock and Jackson for me.

Jackson has been our best defender this season, until his injury he was holding thief’s together back there and it’s no coincidence imo that things started to unravel pretty soon after he was injured, he’s come a long way from last season that’s for sure!

If everyone else was match fit I’d play him with Matt mills, Lyndsey needs resting for me similar to how Roberts dropped out when long came in. I’m m sure Lyndsey will be an important player for us next season however

The problem seems to be while lindsay has been an ever present ,he has had to adapt to changing his CB partner every every 3 or 4 games think he has had 5 different pairings so far which is incredible

Pinnock & one of the other 3 for me. I'd probably go Jackson, but Mills & Lyndsey are fairly interchangeable.
Pinnock is better with the ball at his feet. If we play two holding midfielders I think we need one of the back two to be OK with the ball.
Haven't seen enough of Mills to make my mind up about him.

Jackson and Mills would be my choice. Both Championship defenders.

    Yiadom Pinnock jackson pinillos

When fit it's a back four that picks itself for me

I rate both Pinnock & Jackson but can’t see them making a good partnership

Mills was poor against Burton as was all of the starting XI.

He was solid at QPR so in a Barnsley shirt he's cancelled one game out with another. He's got numerous years at this level and feel he's an organiser.

All four CBs are good players ,in that area of the park it’s about partnerships and consistency ,unfortunately we have not been able to field a consistent pairing ,lindsay and Jackson had a good pairing before injury and lindsay and pinnock developed a good partnership before injury .we have a much better goal difference than those around us that’s down to the defence as we have struggled to score this season

My personal preference is Jackson & Lindsay. But I don't have an issue with any of our central defenders, in all honesty.

Jackon and Lindsay for me. Pinnock still one for the future. Not seen enough of Mills but not great on the Burton showing.

I get that his distribution was poor but was he poor defensively?
