I doubt they could afford them either I think if we don't go up they will be bigger clubs than Wigan interested.
After the Morsy balls up I would be very reluctant to sell to them. There will be other offers from other clubs so no need to even consider an offer from Wigan.
Yeah if they want to join the biggest, best supported team in Wigan they will have to switch to rugby league
I really dislike them as a club and fanbase. They seem to have forgotten their humble roots because of their sugar daddy days, and the new stadium, and think they're a big club. There's no way they should be stealing our players and offering them better deals, same goes for Preston and Millwall. Obviously promotion is our main priority for now, but after that we should be aiming for parity with those clubs at the very least.
hardly new , its 20 years old https://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/championship/dw-stadium-wigan-athletic.html
I remember in 2013 when they were in the premier league they reached the f.a cup semi and sold just over 20k tickets they won the cup that year. It's a rugby league town.
I know how long they've been in it. My point is they've had the big club attitude since around the time it was built.
And those crowds were made up by big away followings. They're averaging around 11500 now in the championship. They must be making a loss every season with those gates.
Alan Nixon mentions it in his Sun column. Says scouts have been to watch them both. Also mentions Stoke wanting Lindsay and that they might loan us Souttar who got sent off against us last week.
Depends how much money they offer. They look like they may stay up ofter the win at Leeds. If we fail to go up, then maybe 3 million would buy Lindsay. Pinnock for me should be looking at a top 6 championship club. Hopefully we go up & keep them both & they sign extended contracts. I think we'll lose at least one in the summer though, if not both. If we go up we are a "bigger club", as we have a bigger fan base & richer owners, but we're not there yet. I mostly want to keep DS & expect that we are looking at recruitment options, based on being in either division. If we are promoted we'll need 2 decent strikers in. Kieffer & Cauley need cover & we have no cover at L1 level, never mind Championship. That will cost money, if we have any ambition of staying up. Midfield should be good enough I think & would love it if we could keep Adam Davies.
