Has to be Woodrow/Chaplin for me at the mo, thought they had a bit of an understanding the time I saw them together. Wilkes seems to be selfish in that position,
He flatters to deceive. Had one glorious chance yesterday to square it to an unmarked Schmidt standing two yards out and chose to shoot instead!
Looked slow, never seemed to be in the right area when the ball came into the box, had a decent chance to score but took way too long to shoot and their defender blocked it.
Not great but he’s a young lad developing his game. He should be learning coming from the bench not chucked in the deep end.
He had a similar choice to make against Leeds when he could have squared to an unmarked Thomas, chose to shoot instead and hit the side netting.
Not a team player and not yet good enough. His close control needs a hell of a lot of work. The ball either gets too far ahead of him and he's easily dispossessed or gets stuck under his feet when a snap shot is the correct option. He's direct and self confident and there's definitely something to work with there but he's not there yet
Became a fans favourite for taking an inordinate amount of time to leave the field when being subbed in the Fulham game. Followed that booking with a number of others for petulance. Perennially gives the ball away or shoots wide when his team mates are much better placed. Had a couple of powerful runs against Leeds in the second half but other than that a huge disappointment. Doesn't mean he won't go on to be a good player, but on his performances so far I'm struggling to understand how he makes the squad never mind the first 11. When he receives the ball it's a guaranteed turnover of possession.
Maybe not what others thought but I think only Thomas was worse. Thomas has so much of the ball yesterday and produced nothing, you have to notice when the opposition are comfortable when a winger has the ball running at them and they just lt happen time and time again. They knew he couldn’t damage them. I hate singling players out and I know I’ve contradicted myself with the previous paragraph but he’s just not up to this standard I don’t think. Not his fault but I just want abit of ballax from him.
Agree to an extent but he seems to be the sort of player to win free kicks and draw the fouls. I like him, he's tricky and I think he'll improve
Reminds me of Vaz Te when he first started out for us. Fingers crossed. He was the worst player on the pitch yesterday. Did brilliantly to turn Worrall late on inside the box and had Schmidt and Mowatt waiting for a cut back for tap ins. He's 20 and has so much to his game but lots more to learn.
Believe it or not the Forest fans I spoke to after the game were raving about Thomas. When I said we bought him from Derby that's why he was playing out of his skin they said.
