According to his mate Peter Swan it's just waiting to be confirmed..He might have talent but it's a massive risk if there's a fee, he could be sewing mailbags in 12 months
Easy enough to structure a fee to work around this and also terminate his contract if he was sent to prison..
There is a risk but only see it as losing a player after 12 months. I'm sure that even if he stays at Leeds his contract would be terminated as he would be in breach, as he would be at Barnsley,it would be stupid not to have a contract that states otherwise. These contracts are done by professionals to cover misconduct etc so if he's good we get 12 months min.the club will have to factor the psychological aspect also. We won't give him a four year deal for him to sit it out in prison.
With regards to the court case, is he actually looking at prison time? Club might be think if he’s only fined or put on community service it’s worth the risk
I’d imagine this would be a permanent transfer. The BBC Radio Humberside journalist on twitter has suggested Hull had agreed a fee. Hoping this is announced today.
I very much doubt it. He'll get a community order, possibly a suspended sentence. ABH is used where the CPS think a sentence longer than six months (the max for common assault) may be warranted, but that's mostly just to give the judge some leeway.
Be a great signing daft to think otherwise. I hope we get him will be best signing of the summer if we do.
