If true, I'm not sure how I feel about it.

The only season he's had at this level was last year, where he got 5 goals in 24 games, so hardly prolific. On the plus side, he's still only 26, so not quite at his peak supposedly, and with a bit of work and pinch of luck he may go on to bad a good number of goals...

Winnall, Bradshaw and Armstrong all outscored him in League 1, so not sure if he's earned his reputation. Probably the song has enhanced his standing.

In all honesty where has this come about from?

Not seen us linked with this player anywhere...

Saying that, there were no rumours about Fryers either...

Seriously would be a good signing.

As I've mentioned with Omar Bogle he got very limited service last season and often got played up front on his own. Football on 5 even did a feature about it with Adam Virgo saying he feels sorry for Wigans strikers

Can't see it being true but would be a great statement of a signing. Yes he didn't get many last term but we've potentially got terrific service from midfield with Moncur, Mallan, McGeehan etc. so a prolific finisher like him is just what we need

Bogle would be worth a cheeky bid too... had a terrible time at Wigan but we'd sort him out

They didn't. He was joint top scorer in the league with Nicky Ajose.

Armstrong outscored Bradshaw, who was in a play off team. Shivers.

Grigg is out injured until November according to the Wigan fans over on their forum. So don't get your hopes up.

I wondered why he had gone so quiet. Just looked on Wikipedia and he made 24 appearances, which is more than I thought. Only scored 5 though.

I rate him but when fit I'd guess he'd cost us the thick end of circa £2 million so I don't think
he'll come to us. Better bet is 21 year old Josh Cullen who is attached to West Ham United.
Certainly fits the profile and he's played 58 games on loan over two seasons for Bradford City.
Also won 8 caps for the Republic of Ireland. Only problem is he's another midfielder.

I'd say a player like Grigg is worth pushing the boat out a little for. He's been prolific at every club he's played for. He's a little older than we're used to but he's got games under his belt.

Up front is the area for me that we need to be pushing the boat out for and bringing in that little bit more experience. I feel that a why we've had more success with centre backs over recent years because it seems that their qualities are easier to transfer across divisions.

I can't see us signing Grigg though sadly.

Not quite convinced he will score many goals in the championship myself. And even less convinced that this is going to happen seeing as the OP has failed to give anything to support the rumour.
