Oh how we have missed him! Ironic that he scored today but Wednesday were obviously playing their reserve forwards, saving the best ones for the play offs.

I really thought Bradshaw and Armstrong would up their games and make a proper partnership, but it didn't work.

I predicted he would when he left. Without Conor's creativity and Bree's speed of movement we became a much more pedestrian team.

In the close season, I'd like to see Hecky get Bradshaw and Payne working together as much as possible.

They're both our own players, so it makes economic sense to put them together and see if they can become a good pairing. Make that plan A.

Bradshaw may as well have been sat with me today, as stuck up there back to goal. It's not his game, so maybe he needs a foil?

Let's put it to the test.

Payne won't be here, if he is we may as well give in now if he's first choice.
Bradshaw need someone beside him. But he's broke no pots either.

Bradshaw needs a strike partner too many games we have gone 451 for a draw and left him up top on his own and with poor service he isn't that kind of player. Should have got at least 1 v burton though when marley was partnering him.

We'll be signing new strikers. If Hecky was massively focused on getting Payne and Bradshaw working as our main pairing I'd be very worried.

I'm starting to think we need a totally new front two. Bradshaw is like the ghost of christmas past, but with fewer goals.
There is no way Payne will be playing first team football, unless Hecky leaves & we reinstate Keith Hill

If Payne is part of plan A for next season then we are fecked right now. He is not good enough.

He has been played up top on his own for the majority of games scince January. With nothing to feed off think he will be okay in a front two.

I honestly can't believe that has been suggested as Plan A.

Payne should be a back up for next season. We need abit of strength to partner bradshaw. I'm sure Hecky has in mind what he wants and how he will set up. Just hope it isn't bradshaw up top on his own or we fecked.

He has been in a front two most of that time & not done very well.
Good footballer, but his movement is poor & goal sniffing sense worse.
Maybe Hecky can improve him, but if I had a centre forward who imposed themselves on a game as infrequently as he does I'd be placing my size 9's up their Spackman.

Well bearing in mind we have hardly got any other strikers at the club, what else do you suggest?

I'm simply suggesting we try something that we haven't already, with our own players, rather than someone else's.

I can't believe people's negativity towards Payne. Give the bloke a chance.

I think he looked quite lively early season though not a switched on when it came to the defensive side of things. Good options j off the bench but much as I'd like to for the reasons you outline I can't see him being a first choice option.

It's as simple as that is it?

**** Payne off without really give him a run, because we'll be signing other lower league lads.

That's bound to work isn't it? Bradshaw and Armstrong really made the step up didn't they?

Fitzytyke2's preparing for when we lose out on all our targets. Some because Maurice hasn't been quick enough to cadge one of his solicitors and the rest because we've offered them £1500 per week.
