    Same goes for the fans. I can't see 30,000 fans snubbing a game over here any time soon, and certainly not if they'd already paid to see it.

    I don't think I'd have any problem with a Monday night game. To still get to watch football but get your entire weekend free as well.

    Leeds are the worst culprits in our division. Sell out wherever they go, no matter what the price, time or location. None of them prepared to make a stand that could potentially force greedy owners to lower ticket prices as they're so desperate to show everyone they're the best fans

    One of the biggest problems they have with game timings in Germany is the distances they have to travel. As I understand it as game started being played on different days to satisfy TV the league came to an agreement with the clubs that if teams had to travel over a certain distance (250 km I think) then those games would be Saturday or (if necessary ) Sunday. Increasingly over time this has been ignored leading to fans not attending. The Frankfurt/Leipzig Monday night match was a 4 hr each way drive (Leipzig not the best following anyway).

    A lot of the German fan groups are not happy at all at the minute with the league and this is just one of the reasons.

    Union Berlin play at Kaiserslautern tomorrow at 18;30.....6 and a half hours by car or 5 and half by train. Makes Plymouth look like a derby match :)

    Nowt against Monday night football mi sen, is it really any different from Tuesday nights?

    Nowt up with a long midweek away trip either, as long as you're sorted with work I've had some good Tuesday afternoons on the booze in London before a game, stayed over and come back the following day, no problem.
