Would Barnsley be prepared to break there £1.5m record transfer fee they paid for Georgi Hristov to replace Tom Bradshaw if the club sell him from now to deadline day
Maybe on a hot prospect that may make many more millions later on, but only in the Championship. No way that's happening in L1.
If that's what the replacement costs, to give the club a chance of returning to the Championship and the increased TV revenue that brings. And they have received that amount or more for Tom...... Then they should be prepared to do so. You can still return a profit on more expensive investments. We also look to be possibly receiving that amount from the Mawson deal, so hardly out of pocket. Dream on, yeah I know
The thing is , if ii is going to cost you as much to replace Bradshaw as you would receive from his sale , you might as well keep him because at least you know what you have got with Tom whilst a new player is always a gamble & you do not want to be gambling when we have just gone through all pre season preparations with Bradshaw up top.
What if the player doesn't want to be here? Not a clue if that is or is not the case, just playing devils advocate....
I know its been done to death but the player is under contract , it would be nice to think that once in a while a player would see out his contract , minds you, Yiadom, Scowan & Watkins all did so it is not out of the question that Bradshaw might , we will wait & see.
With theses answers then the post by myself and Young Nudger supports our post that we do not think they will really put anything into the club because they have not done so as yet My answer is no I do not think they will
I would like to think so. But saying that, not sure who would be available for just over that price for us in the league we are in
https://www.transfermarkt.com/leagu...ion_id=alle&altersklasse=&leihe=&w_s=&zuab=zu At 1.5 million it would be the 3 rd largest signing ever at league one level . Paid £375k by the way for our new midfielder.......
I think it's more about wages than transfer fees with FFP. One and a half million is not a lot to us, but if you have a player on 12k a week for 3 years that adds up. I'd be surprised if we shell out that kind of money in this window unless Bradders goes.
We should have beat Brentford to olly watkins. We should have beat Brentford to Scott hogan. Makes me wonder who the scouts are
I don't think we use scouts at all matey, I think we rely on the latest edition of "Football Manager" for our information. https://www.game.co.uk/en/football-manager-2018-limited-edition-2305887
