Bring in a Grayson type and have him bring in his unemployed trustees to make up the rest of the first team staff? Bring in a Grayson type but the club carefully select the remainder of the first team staff and hope they all work together/get on successfully? Bring in a successful lower league/foreign manager and his TEAM of staff who can transfer straight over as Hecky has done at Leeds? Bring in a successful lower league/foreign manager whilst the club carefully select the remainder of the first team staff and hope they work together/gel successfully?
Its the role of those directing the club to make an appointment that fits with their strategy and vision for the future of the football club. Seeing as we're all completely in the dark about what their strategy is, it's impossible to dovetail their thinking and the options they might go for. Personally I'd go with the person with the best skills and or experience to maintain our status, play attractive winning football, and kick on to establish ourselves in this division next season.
The best manager we can get , coaches and rest of staff can come from what we have left at club or from elsewhere
We need a manager that has previous Championship experience no’s His own mind a hard b who’ll take no sh*t from his players and organise them into Escaping Relegation not lower league men/foreigners who will struggle now is the time for our Owners to stand up and be counted (rant over ) can’t wait for Satday COYR
Not really sure about the lower league manager to be fair Steve parkin and Keith hill spring to mind think we need someone who knows the division, who that is, is anybody' guess
Give an experienced manager to the end of the season to keep us up, with a decent bonus, if achieved. Review policy then. If we go down to L1, then may be better going for a younger manager. This is assuming we can't get MM.
I hope they take their time and do what they believe is best direction for the club. We're in a completely different position than ever before, no reason to criticise anything.
For me the current caretaker team for now and see how it pans out - no need to panic or appoint quickly and get it wrong - plus new owners are not gonna throw money at it they are in it for a return on their investment over time - plus the new team know the players - well most of them and I rate Paul Harsley a hard midfielder in his time.
A good performance and a win Saturday would put the caretaker manager in pole position to get the job permanent
Either someone from lower down the pyramid /overseas. Leave it to the club to decide what’s best in terms of backroom staff. Of course I’d support any manager but I can’t say I’d be enthused by a Grayson type stepping into Oakwell from the failure merry go round.
The fact that you say that you speak with the permission of the club... so on behalf of the club. And by the fact you, so the club are actually asking these questions. Says the club have no plan or strategy of its own and has no clue what to do.. The club seems as inept as its ever been
My response to appointing Grayson would be the same as when we appointed Keith Hill. There are other things to do on a Saturday afternoon.
