I'm sure our coaches will be well aware of it and get our players and ball boys ready for it, but here is why a early goal is important.... https://twitter.com/BBCDerbySport/status/1048601565328752642?s=19 Something for Stendel to be asked about in his press conference. It could have a NFL stop start feel to the afternoon.
Watched a really interesting video about this exact topic this morning funnily enough. Recommend the below:
I don't remember them being that bad for it at Adams Park in December - it may have been overshadowed by how utterly useless we were though. Simple solution: be 3-0 up in the last 10 mins and see if they timewaste then.
This doesn’t bode well for Saturday - our players should speak to the ref every time! Shame that our captain is nowhere near the ref
Need a Hourihane type leader to get in the referee's ear early on. Not just for this, but it's something we've been missing since he went - he was brilliant at that.
I think Ethan has been skipper when Davies has been on internationals. He's more of a leader by example than a shouter.
I think McGeehan could be the next captain if he continues on his current development curve. The two of them have made massive strides, but McGeehan has a bit of a side to him and is certainly more vocal. The way he tried to chop a Gills player who had got wrong side of him on Saturday showed a cynical ruthlessness, something we've definitely been missing.
Isn't Moore our assistant captain? I'm sure it has been said by commentators a few times but may be wrong.
Davies holding on to the ball while Lindsay and Pinnock came back into a square position of the keeper either side of the box, Davies then rolls the ball to Lindsay who hadn`t a Wycombe player within 40 yards of him and we are accusing them of timewasting.
Said this many a time. We play brilliant football, but when it comes to being streetwise we're well short. We'll need it in the Championship if we go up.
