Very poor bid that 500k may as well keep till end of season for that kind of money. Can't imagine he is on massive wages so no deal.
If this is true, then I think it's a fair reflection of the last couple of weeks. Swansea have realised that Huddersfield no longer oppose them, Yids is in his final year, and we now seem set to lose him, probably sooner the better considering he doesn't get near the team now. As such they've tried a sneaky low bid to try tempt us into letting him go and having done with the whole saga.
I know we want to offload, or at least would probably be open to the idea, but 500 grand in today's market? Nah.
Be gone today I reckon, can't see his heart being in playing for barnsley any more and possibly carries an injury that will always plague him. Take 600,000 with a big sell on fee
Yeah but Yids has been seen walking round Grove Terrace looking like the Lords' weather vane this last week.
Don't know if this overrides the above... FL92Transfer @FL92Transfer 8m8 minutes ago Swansea City have had a bid accepted for Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom #barnsleyfc #Barnsley #SCFC #SwansFC
I don't blame them though. They have to enter negotiations somewhere. And since they were first interested he's got a broken back, refused to sign a contract, and their competition to his signature has dropped out! They'd be daft to come in with a high offer straight away!
I agree and I don't blame them either but it's still taking the pi55. We were never going to accept £500k.
Depends how bad his broken back is! But no, doubt we'll accept that. Anything close to £2m think he'll be off.
It's a 2mm stress fracture. I think otherwise known as a Pars fracture. Typically takes about 3 months to fully heal.
Wasn't he on a free for us, so let that more less gets his wages back is fine by me. I would also be happy to let him heal and come back for, as long as he signed and contract on reasonable wages.
In that case they might as well wait for the winter transfer window. Although there might be more competition for him by then.
