Well if he's off, there was certainly no evidence of it tonight. Played a wholehearted 60 mins and never shirked a challenge.

Footnote in The Star following tonight's game against Guiseley states that Hecky's is
"confident of keeping the player" ( Yiadom).

To my mind he would say " hopeful" and not " confident" if he didn't think it was it
    was going to happen.?

That's good to hear. We all want him to stay. Love to see him crunch Winnowt in front of the Ponty End
if he's still with the Wendies.!

Reports surfacing that Yids has refused a new contract and is pushing for a move to
Huddersfield.! Fee of £2 million being suggested.!

If its only £2 mill then surely we should be looking for a cash & player exchange deal. I wonder if Nakhi Wells could do a decent job for us up front ?

Didn't we pick him up on a free transfer / out of contract. If so there will be no sell in fee so whatever the price we will get the full amount. So 2M for Yids means more than say 2m for a player bought in. However having said that if they think he is Premier ready then I would suggest we should be asking nearer 4. He is an international and could develop like Mawson. I hope he stays though as I think a full season in the championship would help him and us even further.

Not sure these reports are necessarily true. A Huddersfield fan asked Nixon yesterday if the deal had progressed and he said no; and Hecky said in his interview there had been no further offers for him since the initial rejected ones from Huddersfield and Reading. It seems to me he's still very much a Barnsley player

What I don't get about the whole situation with Andy Yiadom is that we had wanted to sign him for at least 3 years while he was at Barnet, as we were linked prior to him signing his last 2 year contract there and now after just the one season with us we maybe willing to off load.

Strange situation to put so much work in getting him in the first place and then sell at the first oppurtunity.

Perhaps he only wanted to sign a 2yr deal on the terms offered and backed his ability to do well and get another deal/move.

"Otherwise we're doing things in a makeshift way".

Sums it up from top to bottom.
