Happy with the point away at Forest, would have taken this prior to the game.

Just looking at the squad, for me probably the weakest position at the moment is at left back.

Jay Mac - Has spells where he looks decent but for me makes one too many mistakes / bad choices, especially in the passing element of his game. Not saying that this won't improve as games progress but feel thats where teams will exploit us more at the moment

Potter is injured and as yet hasn't looked fully up to championship standard. Undecided as to the potential.

I think we should definitely look to add a new face if not for anything to provide additional cover.

Yeah, forgot about him. I haven't seen him play so can't pass a comment on him yet. However being one of Hills recruits, if he considered him an improvement on Jay Mac, I presume he would have been first choice for the Forest match.

I don't think you can say we have a weekness at left back after one game.

But now you have given the grumblers a target.

Who's the weakness going to be after the next match? Or the one after that.

We've several players who can play at left back

McNulty would be the best option for me, looks very comfortable on the ball, something McEverley didn't at the weekend. We've also got Doyle, Hassell, Perkins and Wiseman who can play there.

I have not made a judgement after 1 match. I have given a reflection on the 2 players we had last season in Potter and Jay Mac. I also said that I've yet to see McNulty but presume he is not Hills first choice having started Jay Mac.

It's not a grumble, just my observation, taken over the full course of last season. I also said that this may improve as the season progresses. This depends how players adapt to Hills playing style which I am fully bought into.

Being picked for 1st game does not necessarily make you 1st choice - horses for courses an all that !

Jay Mac was exposed by Morcambe.. Saying that so were the rest of the team. Sort it for Saturday with more positive playing Mr Hill. We are passing the ball about without the purpose of opening teams up. If you watch the likes of Barca when they play, once they pass the ball they then move into a new space. When we passed the ball today, all too often the movement was far too static.

As I said before the game tonight

I like the look of McNulty, not too bad tonight, but not the best performance by him. But I just think, for the type of football Hill is trying to employ, McNulty looks much more comfortable in possession of the ball, as opposed to McEverley, who looks a liability everytime he's on it.
