Gary Neville is coming across quite well as a pundit

I bet it's killing him having to talk about City in a positive light, same with Liverpool earlier

I thought that, bet he struggled not to say "we" when talking about United!
Might make it to the match tomorrow by the way, not be out early though

    Hmmmm Summerbee springs to mind

At least he managed to give praise were praise was due unlike the typical Bitter Blue that is Mike Summerbee, talk about showing yourself up. Typical city they are all the same the bitterness oozes out of them

He only praises City because he is paid to, no other reason whatsoever, he has been so obnoxious during his time at Utd about City, those are his real feelings, but he has got to say nice things now that Sky pay his wages not Man Utd.

I don't think he was praising City as a club as he hates them, but i think it's fair to say he is adult enough to give praise were praise is due unlike Mike Summerbee who was foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog. I'm sure he will compliment one of your beloved Liverpool players if they have a good game and he happens to be commentating and he hates them alot more than Citeh

    Is that to me?
I hate Liverpool as much as he does, so I think you must be mixed up.

Then i apologise, i thought you had put on here in the past that your brothers supported Manchester United and you had a soft spot for Liverpool. My mistake......

My other brother supports Liverpool, I prefer my team to come from Barnsley.
Although I did like to watch Liverpool during their heyday, same as Everton, they played some nice football.

My Dad started taking me to home games at Oakwell from around the age of 8 but i did go to a few Manchester United games in the 80's. Good team on paper - Whiteside, Strachan, Robson, McGrath, Olsen, Hughes etc but never achieved much, except maybe best ale carts of the league! Like yourself my team is Barnsley and always will be.

    With ease.
You remind me of Murphy's when it comes to Manchester football teams.

I just had this strange feeling that you were a closet Man Utd fan, I cant figure out why I thought that tho` unless it is the abuse of anything about Man City that did it!.lol.

Re: Hmmmm Summerbee springs to mind

LOL i've openly admitted on here numerous times that i like to see Manchester United win, but it doesn't bother me if they lose. Doesn't stir up the same feeling as when the true Reds lose.

So no i'm not in the closet jumped out in the early 80's when everyone else in my school was supporting Leeds & Liverpool so i had to be different and support Barnsley & Manchester United. Then again didn't get a choice with the Barnsley thing, not with my Dad and brother!
