Played just about all his professional games in central midfield. Bit of a pocket rocket by the sounds of it. Never stops running and lays off the simple pass. Or so all the reports say. Had an excellent season at Colchester last year by all accounts and despite being 29 and playing all his football in the lower leagues probably deserved his chance at a championship club. In his proper position of course. So what the **** is Keith Hill doing playing him on the left wing? What the **** is that all about? We expect a journey man, lower league, tenacious yet limited central midfield player to be ripping a championship full back a new arsehole and whipping in crosses? That isn't cutting your cloth accordingly. That isn't working to a budget. That is rank bad management. Yours, Mr Umbrage of Orson Welles
I am losing count of the players we have tried on the left wing. I can only presume that the manager is determined to try everybody before he accepts that there is no left winger at the club.
Yup Is that our tactic for the season, roll hopeless balls in to the box and hope that one of the opposition defenders has an aneurysm and smashes the ball into his own net? Admittedly, it did work once tonight, but I'm not sure it's going to be a successful long term plan. or summat.
RNL, Perkins, O'Brien, Vaz Te, Haynes, Butterfield. Anymore so far? All of them have been on the left wing in the three home games so far.
Several of Hills decisions are in the bracket of 'rank bad' management at the minute. Has he lost the plot, is he out of his depth or is he one moment of inspiration away from turning this mess around? Fine lines and all that.
And Hill let Devany go - wish we had him now - KEITH HILL AKA MIKE BASSETT Hill looking more clueless as each game goes by.... O yes I forgot Keith it's all the fans fault isn't it
