And then tell me what he says is wrong. He's absolutely bang on. He's got lessons to learn but to have the atmosphere we have in mid August is disgusting.
Yep got to agree mate. Very forthright views again from Keith. Not sure his comment on Wiseman and Hassell will rest easy with fans but i have to agree with you. Hes right in everything he says to me. He certainly knows that overspending on transfers and loans to dig us out of this rut isnt going to happen. Lets roll our sleeves up eh......
I've not heard it and probably wont get a chance until tonight. Does he hint to what the lessons are, such as playing the wrong formation or players out of position? These seem to be the biggest areas of criticism so I wondered if he was aware of where the fans are unhappy.
Did he mention the 3 consecutive poor performances (results aside) i dont think its all just the defeats more the manner of them i.e. lack of positives to take from the performances
Maybe so now. Clearly he has had a rethink, because this is nothing like what he was saying when he first took over.
'Are you still learning?' 'it's a massive learning curve. The two games have been a massive learning curve with respect to the league, the caliabre of players and our plans. I want to play expansive, attacking football but it's about an end result. I might have to sacrifice that. Trying to get the balance between what I want and what I need'. So, kind of, yeah.
Disagree. He said it would be difficult. He said he wanted to play a certain type of football. He said we had a set limits in terms of players we could bring in. He's said exactly the same things.
It was a chuffin good interview that He's always entertaining but the last couple have been a bit... David Brent. But that one was bang on. Mind you, he's still not apologised to Whitey about lumping him in with the boo boys.
Weren't talking to thee, old bean. That's why I've replied to thi other post saying what he did se'. Sithi.
I don't think his view has changed from what he said when he took over, through pre season and now. He's said he wants to do well, he says he wants to play good football and he's said from day one it's a difficult task. It's the fans in the main that started calling us "barnselona" after a handful of preseason friendlies. So how has the manager let people down? He's clamouring to media need to answer questions which he does regularly and frankly. We ask for honesty and openness from a manager instead of the bland monosyllabic responses that seem the norm for many and then we lambast him for it. He could easily hide, he could easily shirk responsibility but he doesn't. He's taken blame. It seems many take a single word and spin it to their context instead of hearing the whole interview. The first few games haven't been great. But thats not a break from the norm in the history of this football club. The only time I recall us having a flying start was when we got promotion. And aside from that in 100+ years, we're getting something not too different from what we usually get.
