I genuinely felt sorry for him on radioshit earlier, he seemed to have emotion in his voice and he sounded upset. I think deep down we all knew that we dont have the cash to compete at this level. He simply confirmed this. Fair doos. Then a couple of things came to mind, we might be skint, but to not play with 2 up front at home when you are losing is poor management, along with the fact our shape has been all over the place. The level of performance has been shocking and the new lads have copped for it, simply cos they are clearly out of their depth. Blaming the fans for not getting behind the team after the shambles weve seen stinks. The quote about not having the finances is true enough but not having 20million to spend doesnt mean you MUST play with 2 holding midfielders. I also expected us to fight till the death in every game, good players or not, why not ******* tell us before forking out cash for season tickets we are going to roll over and die three games in? The bad feeling going around at the minute is worse than ive ever seen and I just cant see how the fans and Keith are going to move forward. I fear if results dont improve a nasty incident may be in the offing and can see some nutter will take a swing at someone. Im a concerned monkey boy.
Can you just clarify the circumstances under which you are foreseeing somebody lamp someone else? And who are the parties involved in this foresighted ruck?
"the new lads have copped for it, simply cos they are clearly out of their depth" I'm reminded of the Premiership season here. Back then the players looked like they were out of their depth having made the step up and they took some cruel batterings. But then of course, they gained their confidence and became competitive, finishing the second half of the season in staying up form. Maybe the new players just need time to adjust, stop giving the opposition so much respect and get the fans behind them (well two out of three aint bad). Nobody should write the players off after two league matches.
Re: "the new lads have copped for it, simply cos they are clearly out of their depth" I agree with you entirely. Admittedly I have not had to "endure" the last few games (and shell out as much money) as have many of the people on here have, but I was there during the Premiership season so I have faith that Hillcroft can turn this around. As you say, things can (and I believe will) improve. To write this team (and manager) off after three games is absolutely ridiculous.
Re: "the new lads have copped for it, simply cos they are clearly out of their depth" Hill seems to be writing us off,a bloke who thinks 4th from bottom is overachieving doesn't seem to have much confidence in his own team,he's more or less said we are going to be relegated.
Re: "the new lads have copped for it, simply cos they are clearly out of their depth" I am behind Hill... but I expect better performances from the team.. looking at how he was set up on the past 2 home league games, I would expect that set up away... at home gun ho 433 in eyes but then again aint everyone a good manager from the stands
Re: "the new lads have copped for it, simply cos they are clearly out of their depth" shurrup dave thas been telling me not to be so negative all summer, shows what thar knows
