I thought we were the shittest team in the world, but now everyone is buzzing...

People needed to give him a chance. The abuse has been disgusting.

The poor bloke hasn't even had a 'honeymoon' period. Shocking over-reaction by some fans.

Totally agree. some people seem to have totally lost perspective. To me, being a Barnsley fan is all about fighting against adversity. A lot of Barnsley fans, in my opinion, have come across abysmally in the last week.

No more an over-reaction than Mr Hill has brought on himself with all his pre-season talk of attacking, passing football. This my man is what has got a lot of supporters backs up as after a few defeats he changes tack totally and says we will over-achieve if we stay up. He would have been far better to keep it shut or tell fans pre-season that we were in for a struggle then he's in a no lose situation.

But for 2 penalty saves today by one of our remaining top players, we could've been on the back of a 3 or 4-1 defeat now so lets not get too carried away eh. Unbelievably we have won and lets pray the side can kick on from this slice of luck. Hill needs to let the football do the talking for a bit and show us what a good manager he thinks he is in his head, loose lips sink ships as they say!

    Well done You Reds!!

Agreed. It has been embarrassing at times reading some of the posts on here and listening to the boos in the ground.

Even so. The abuse has been way over the top and inexcusable. It seems to have become personal against Hill just because he's got a bit of an ego. I'm not getting over-excited by a win, because I know this season is going to be a major slog, which is why I have been willing to give Hill a chance. He probably has underestimated the quality of the division and as such has found himself back-tracking, but give him the opportunity to learn.

Yeah, well done. Its all you lot that have been slagging him off that have made the win today possible. And folk call Hill arrogant...

Agree with that, but he needs to reign his ego in sharpish and get on with the job to get a lot back on-side for me!

I personally like arrogant folk and wished he'd show a bit of it towards the players, its a mans game we're talking here and sometimes it takes that to get the message across....

And yes to a degree I reckon the slagging off as possibly worked....

Agreed, but that might be the rough with the smooth that we have to contend with. The Dale fans did warn us.

Because they haven't been eating **** and calling it ice-cream?

The manager has taken a lot of stick, but it has been well measured and articulately explained considering the strange comments he has been coming out with.

I'm as delighted as anyone with three points, but we need to buil from here.
