Site admin - sort out this swear filter

    We can't even type the name of a player - **** Barton

    I had one the other day because it's so archiac that 4 letters within a word gets treated as the 4letter word because you don't have it set up with a space either side of the swear word.

    Agree 100%. It is far too sensitive and filters out words that are not swearing. It is in urgent need of a retune.

    Why is it 1 extreme to another? There was more words on the old BBS swear filter. It's only because there wasn't one on here straight away that everyone seems to be commenting about it now. Also, with the name J'oey - is it our fault that people in the past have used this as an insult to people? If you post on other forums you will know that swear filters are also in place so it's not a brand new concept to here.

    It filtered out the word **** (d-a-m-n) yesterday.

    Why can't we just do away with it all, except for the obvious ones, lovely person*, F***. They are all good old fashioned English words anyway, lets use the language we have to the full.
