That is arse about tit. 6 times more readers than contributors.

Any chance of you guests registering and putting forward your opinions? This BBS cannot survive when so few people are contributing. If all you ever do is read the board and don't add to it then soon there'll be nothing to read at all and there won't be a BBS.

Back when we were in administration it was impossible to read every post made in a day there were that many. Now you're lucky to get more than half a dozen new threads in a working day.

Sign up, post something and take the BBS in the direction you want it to go.

It was an even bigger ratio yesterday

Happened to notice it was 12 members and 94 guests at one point yesterday. Think a lot might have been put off by the new format, however i've got used to it now, some might not be willing to give it a try.

Agreed though, we need some new posters, some of the current crop are very repetitive.

Very few of those will be actual humans - a very high percentage will be bots

When we came back to this board I deleted 50000 spambots who had registered. Luckily system was set to moderate new users and they were unable to post

More specific BFC related random questions have been added the registration process to prevent them from signing up - But it doesn't stop them trying.

shouldn't really take much notice of the number of guest, it was nearer 1000 just after the switch

It would be interesting to hear what the readership is compared to the old site......

112 people at 10am in the morning seems to be very poor
People who I've spoken to still can't get to grips with this new board
I'm feeling better about it but its still not as good, or should I say not as user freindly than the old message board

So you're saying there's only about 20 people browsing the board?

Never used to get below 150 on the old BBS during the day and went up to about 3 or 400 on match days and when big news was released.

Aye, go on then, since you asked so nicely I'll join up. I've been reading this board for absolutely ages, but for some reason never got round to signing up before. I feel like I already know some of you already, I've been reading your views for so long. I'll share some of mine:

    - THIS CLUB IS GOING NOWHERE!!!! :nails: ... nah, that's not really what I think, I actually like our new management duo and think they'll turn it around and win folk over. I also like Hills (relentless) honesty in pre-match and post-match interviews, very refreshing.
    - I seem to remember Leicester shafting us with ticket prices not so long ago at their place, so screw 'em, an eye for an eye. They'll get no sympathy from me.
    - I've heard a lot of naughty words in my time (most of them at Oakwell), but ****? Seriously? **** Barton?? Sheesh.
    - Tyketical Masterstroke, I'd have to say option A rather than option B, good question though, a lot of soul-searching went into that answer.

I'm looking forward to chatting more to some of you folks.

Anyone know what the bots reckon to the new format?

I saw one t'other day self destruct.

Its last words were, "Does not compute. General exception: Hemsworth Tyke. Illogical. Shutting down... Daisy, D-a-i-s-y, G--i--v--e... bang!"

Why? What's the harm in people coming on to read it? People would be less likely to sign up anyway if they can't see what it's about

A lot might have an account but just browse and only log in when they want to contribute, hence the skewed figures.

    Excellent

If we can get the other 94 to register and post we might get this place buzzing again.

    Re: Excellent

Hi folks, after viewing forum for years, finally registered
Think the trouble that more people view than contribute, is that the majority of posts are contributed by minority of "fans", who are not representative of the majority views
When i view this website i want mirth, merryment and football gossip, not what a number of cyber nuts/rantists are proffessing.
If you have nothing humurous or educating to say, then please join the wendy's they are crying out for people who need 5 mins of watching babestation to get on with real life.
Remember football, beer, fancy stepovers, false hopes and chiil blains in february are for life, not just for christmas

we are barnsley, we are barnsley, erm thingy is our king

I think you should share your majority views

then decide whether the majority on here share them

me myself I only post post 3 pints but hopefully less than 6

    like now

p.s. we'll lose tomoz, but that's how 5.5 pints seems to affect me
