If we have "a", amount of money to spend due to gate income, season tickets, sponsorship, etc....
And "b" we need to pay 24 pro players, cart load of coppers, car park attendees, etc...
Then surely as long as "a" is bigger than "b", as a business we are correct, that means we cannot sign ronaldo etc...
This was my expectations for the season and we would at least compete in the league, because watford, palace, coventry, etc.. Were in the same boat.
    We have to be realistic
our home form as been good enough to see us through
we have historically been good at home and pants away, if we get a result at millwall on setdi then i have no idea where we are at, as bananas as it seems we might not be in as bad position as we think

Cannot disagree with that, except the home form. If we continue tho play the same formtion and tactics at home we are going to get mullered regullarly.l

If we only lose 1-0 will that be a Mullered Lite?

first of all this 'a' - 'b' = 0 (even) not in this season but the football league have asked the clubs to do it next season.

secondly, the team seems set up to get more points than last year away from oakwell.

A few tweaks at oakwell and maybe we could break the 60 point mark.

    well i think so anyway.

ORIGINALLY MEANT our home form as been good enough to see us through TO SAFETY HISTORICALLY
I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL, BUT WHAT WORRIES ME IS IF CRAIG DAVIEEEEES DOESN,T SCORE, AND HE IS UNPROVEN AT THIS LEVEL,
THEN THEIR IS NO GOALS ON THE BENCH (GRAY & RNL)
IF ORIGINAL TACTICS WORK, AND THEY DO LOOK AS THEY SHOULD WORK AWAY, THEN ALL IS WELL
BUT ITS THE THE BACK UP THAT WORRIES ME
IF ITS NOT WORKING AT HOME, THEN HOME FANS CAN SEE THIS, WE CALL FOR CHANGES AND PLAN B IS RHUBARB
THIS (IMHO) IS THE DOWNFALL TO OUR TACTICS
THIS IS MY BEEF WITH THE MANAGER/SCENARIO/FOOTBALL IN GENERAL/PERSONNEL, BUT THEN THEIR IS NO MONEY TO COUNTERACT THIS
I THINK WE SHOULD GET PAUL DANIELS AS MANAGER
AND DEBBIE MCGEE HALF TIME ENTERTAINMENT

He does not say that it should equal 0 tho` does he? He says A should be more than B , which in the perect world it would be.
Secondly if we just get points away from home then we will still be in the same pickle as before
It will take a hell of a lot more than a few tweaks to get in right at Oakwell, if we are going on the 3 homes games so far, we will be struggling to get past 50-54 points again.
Hopefully things will improve at Oakwell, but there has to be a big difference.

Phillip. The reason football is in such a mess is because for years clubs have drastically spent more than what's coming in securing money on future league positions tv revenue etc

It shouldn't take a directive from the games governing bodies to tell so called expert business men to run a company where the out goings are less than the income. Its simple business rules.

But then again you could argue that a lot of these club owners aren't actually dipping into their own pockets to fund the signings and stupid wages. I am of the opinion that the bloke at villa those who have just left QPR amongst others have put the bare minimum out of their own pockets and\or financing the clubs through loans that have to be repaid there for spending nothing knowing that if admin did happen they would go down as football creditors and get a chunk back.
If hmrc win their case there will be at least one household name forced into bankruptcy.
