down 1500 on last season. Not a bad figure l thought it would have been a lot worse this season with folks feeling the pinch.
Don't think it was that many in 2010/2011 season GO. Think it was only about 7,000 from what i remember seeing in barnsley chronicle.
The Don quoted 9k in The Star at the beginning of last season http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/barnsley/pre_season_joy_will_get_the_fans_back_1_1832300 We did hit 10k a few season's ago. A big marketing push is needed with season tickets or some new idea's it's been a steady decline recently, it was boosted by the free kids tickets a few seasons back. I suppose a upturn in fortunes on the pitch will sort that out.
Marketing should go 300 quid for a Npower champ season ticket. Doncaster are about 400/450 quid. Enough said for me. I must have got the figures wrong GO or it was a early figure i read.
Dont be fooled by Donny's thats the prices now but you could get early bird season tickets for around the same price as ours and they sold 95% of their tickets at that time. It was also £15 or £18 to watch their last home game and only 7k turned up. We are now more expensive to watch at home than Donny, majority of their games will be CAT B priced at around £27/£28, they also have loads of offers during the season but with no interest now Leeds are doing ok. I agree our season tickets are a fair price but they aren't going to increase the figures unless the team are pushing at the top end of the table.
We have deals. 1912, any fan with a brain will not pay more than 25 quid Watford game, 16 quid for adults.
