Gally, you've done a fine job mi old and I much prefer the new version. As for lack of banter? Can't understand that at all as there's plenty of banter on here... Maybe the truth is the old clique hasn't managed to regroup fully yet? Much better for that I'd say.

 

I'm starting to like the new BBS too, it's so much faster than the old one which is the most important thing. The old format was simple and it worked, but the new one just takes a while to get used to, that's all.

Oh, and the links do change colour for me too when I click them... maybe it's a browser issue? I'm using Google Chrome.

 

I find the new board much much quicker than the old one, not had any performance issues at all.

 

yet again, ive just replied 3 times without it working..
its ok for u not on mobiles so the majority will be happy. but put yourself in my shoes where u are typing a reply and never knowing if it will work.. its BAD.
its random though. it does what it wants, not what its told. i click REPLY TO THREAD and it pops up JUST a quick reply box. yet the next time i do the EXACT same thing, it pops up a reply with quote box!? and then the next time it could pop up an advanced reply box. so there is something wrong. this is my 4th attempt at replying.. like i say, its unworkable for me on a mobile.

 

One thing that I just noticed that the links don't turn back red when someone makes a new post in a thread that I've already read, which is a bit annoying.

Also, if I want to go straight to the end of the thread to read the newest posts and click "go to last post", it only shows the last post and nothing else!(?)

 

Not sure if the first point is really a big deal given that you can see who made the last post and when (if it wasn't the last one you read, then it's a new post!). As for the second point - I love that feature on this new version; if you click on "last post" you go straight to it, and if you have it in Hybrid mode, you can quickly see up top who has posted a reply to whom and when. A vast improvement for me from the old version.

 

Site Admin going mental with the swear filter has not helped.

It also seems that the % of 18 year old football manager 2011, know it all, obnoxious feckpigs has increased tenfold.

Not had any problems on the mobile either, on it now. Have you tried the mobile skin? Makes it uber quick.

 

That's not the worst thing for me.

If I click on a post - I should be able to read it.
But I can't.
I get the rest of the thread at the top ... then the post below, so I have to scroll down to read it.
Surely the post should be at the top the the rest of the thread underneath?

I am useless with computers but even mine shows a green thread once I've read it.

Some people eh? Complain when there's too many people on, reading and not posting. Complaining when there aren't enough people posting. Complaining when somebody takes the time to update something and it doesn't suit their computer. Complaining about summat that comes absolutely free.

Seems to be full of moaners saying the same things over and over again. Some will only be happy if hill is sacked and we're relegated

Happen so. Guess the old crowd went out of the way to meet each other n take the time to hear other points of view so having a giggle or talking about what had happened on nights out or away matchs did look cliquey. Really friends always appear that way. Don't see many meet up calls from other than Site Admin now. Sad
