Former Reds' star Brian Howard has told We Are Barnsley he'd love to return to Oakwell... The player - currently wanting a move away from Reading - says his days at Barnsley were the best of his career. Dont think Keith would go for that, him being in our past and competition for the limelight as well.

It aint a goer on the money front either.

I'd have him back. We've never replaced him in midfield.

How is that? Just repeating what the manager has said, tis all!!

We really need a little bit of quality in this side, it is all well and good having a team that can run around all day, but if there is no-one that can make a difference, play the killer ball, make the surging run, then we will be playing all weekend without trobling the scorer at home games.
Away it is different, we can sit back and try and counter, but at home we will struggle to break down the opponents with the same system.
My opinion like, but its got frig all to do with me anyway.

Brian Howard was the main reason we were promoted.

He is one of the best players we have had in the last 10 years. If not top of the pile.

He put a load of effort in for us.

Being critical in a superstar world, his teeth are too big.

But he's got nowt to prove if he comes back.

    Which is not the ideal.

Not in the same class as Howard and Perkins is a runabout player, runs all day but does not actually get much done.

Which is your perogative mate, but I will have you a bet that Butterfield will not score as many goals as Howard did and I dont include the penalties.
Butterfield is a good young player that has got a bit of potential, not in the same class as Howard was for us though.

That being said, having shopped himself around he might now appreciate that the grass is greener at Oakwell?

That is YOUR opinion, not mine though.
Now I am not going to say anything else on the subject because you dont want any other opinion to be seen other than yours.
    Fire away.
