Why did Keith Hill have a dig at the fans in his recent interview?

I'm fed up of reading the comments you come out with, but i don't call you a idiot because you choose to stick your head in the sand and pretend every things smells of roses, thats your opinion and i respect it even if i don't agree with it

Thats where idiots like you are wrong, wrong, wrong.

My Mum and Dad first took me to Oakwell in November 1951. What is it now 2011?

I supported this Club through the dark Days of 1960s when times were really hard and the football then under John Steele was a darn site better than the last few years.

I don't think this football Club, Cryne and Hill are in a position where they can aford to alienate long term fans like me.

So if I were you I'd keep your fat trap shut.

I just don't scower his interviews finding ways to take offense. Even if he was having a go so what? Funny thing is, on the old board I posted a comment after we signed Davies saying I thought it was a massive risk because div 2 to championship is a huge leap and asked how many strikers have made the transition? Not many, I then got about 100 replies of every player in every position who has moved up from div 2 to Championship (which wasn't my original point - I asked about strikers), anyway Davies doesn't really look good enough tbh, but I'm not going to come on here and slag the manager off for having a dig at me because he's not having a dig at me personally, and even if he was....meh.

    Is that English?

Your Grammar is shocking but coming from Hemsworth that's hardly a surprise.

Just remember that the next time you contribute to a thread on how to get more people attending Oakwell.

Its far easier to lose fans than it is to gain them.

How do you know it was a sly dig, he could have just been having a bit of a laugh after reading comments made by fans. It's like he can't say a thing without being criticised and abused on here.

Joining the 1912 Club would only indicate to the Club that I agree with the catigory system. It's not about paying £30 it's the system I object to and I'm not alone.

The only time this Club will listen to the fans is when attendances are down, but hey this Club is more interested in ripping away fans off than looking after its own fans.

Just an observation of being brought up in South Yorks and in all my travels since, but people in S.Yorks like to think they're straight talking, and indeed they are, but the minute someone gives it back.....dummy, cot, out.

    Oh for F-u-c-ks sake

    That's "a dig" ? Really ?

Didn't realise Barnsley folk had such thin skins and a persecution complex.

He gets a lot of criticism but very little abuse and none that I can see in this thread.

The odd one or two maybe but they just do it for effect anyway.

So lets keep it real or it will turn into the same as the Booing fiasco when to hear some most of the ground were booing.

I'm starting to think the same. Everytime the bloke says something it seems like there are people queuing up to find offence in it or criticise him in some way for something he said, didn't say or the way he said it. I can honestly say I have found nothing he has said offensive or antagonistic and I am struggling to see why some seem to dislike him so much.

I'm not agreeing with hemsworth because I find he is a large part of the problem on this bbs (he winds people up and is painfully stubborn).

BUT, I honestly can't remember a comment from Madmark or Ryhilltyke that was positive without having a thinly (or not) veiled attack at something the club does.

In all my days of supporting the club, I honestly can't remember this level of negativity towards very minor things within the club. The fact is, KH is often the spokesman for the club - whether he likes it or not. His words can easily be taken out of context in the same way that stats can.

I just wish we could all be united again and turn Oakwell into the ground I started going to. The fans are alienated me, not the club.
