Fair-play to him...will do it his way...don't care what anybody thinks.. its his head on the block....balls in abundance..
I dont think that is true though, or why has he kept on about the fans that booed? I think he does care and that is why I hope he does a good job, keep everyone happy if we carry on like today, great game.
I agree MK...best thing o happen to this club in years...a big dose of how it is... One or two of the ..I wont the club to be run how I imagine it to be run...or ill scream and scream..are going to have there nose pushed out of joint...from now until KH moves on... love the guy...
Supporters' views don't matter? Oh really? So, if we're striving to be self-sufficient and the owner - as is his right - doesn't want to subsidise things any further, how in hell are we to progress? Attracting more supporters perhaps? We're still 1 point from 9 at home and I'm not yet attracted to parting with 30 quid a game. If Keith's not bothered about persuading me, or the Don's not bothered about sorting out his pricing strategy - fine!
Why don't you stop pulling the man down and let him get on with the job, like he says he'll do the job his way not how someone like you who I should assume as no idea wants him to,he's like a breath of fresh air at oakwell and I believe given time will prove to be one of the best managers thats been down there,so I wish people like you would stop trying to drive him away because if you don't thats what you migh'nt do.
We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. At no point this season have Keith Hills comments sounded like he cares a jot what people think.
What does it matter to you? In no way are you a "supporter". You're not supporting anything with your "hope we fail" attitude.
I think its time you and some others stopped being so bloody defensive . Hill has said he does not care about what is said so why are you? Let it lie. Everybody can have their own opinion. Also I dont think the last comment was a dig at Hill anyway!!!
Even when he keeps mentioning the fact that some fans booed? Or 1997? I think he does care and cares a lot, I think he his pride was wounded and it has made him more determined to make it work. Which is a good thing in my opinion.
Said many times, I'm not a "supporter". I'm a partisan customer though. Except right now, it's potential customer. And like it or not, progress will depend on attracting more - admittedly fickle - fans like me back!
The first time he mentioned 1997, this board went into meltdown with people abusing him, yet he's mentioned it again today, so I don't think it can be bothering him too much. I think the determination to make it work was always there anyway. Perhaps the booing and abuse has made it more prominent, but I don't get the impression Keith Hill loses too much sleep over what fans think of his tactics, signings, etc. Which is fine by me, by the way. Why should he? Like he says, his head on the block, not ours.
That's fine But what troubles me is why someone who clearly doesn't care that much spends so much time on a bulletin board devoted to Barnsley FC and why do you feel the need to continually give us your opinion on a subject that you freely admit is not close to your heart? Me, I just can't get Barnsley out of my head. I'm a fan. That's why I'm on here all the time. Wouldn't you be better devoting your time to something you do care about? Maybe posting on attention seekers are us or summat.
Re: That's fine Never said it wasn't close to my heart, Jay. It's just that I'm a bit more objective than most on here!
