McCarthy insisted he did not have an issue with the supporters booing Wolves' performance as they are entitled to respond negatively when the players do not perform. "We deserved the boos and the jeers. We didn't play well enough," said the manager. "They have paid their hard-earned money to come and watch us and I have no problem with that at all, when we play as badly as that."
Fair point mate. I agree with Mick but I accept other people (Hill) may have a differing opinion. You have also got to remember that Mick has been there years, Hill's only been here 5 minutes. Did you hear them say that Mick used to clean Warnock's boots at Barnsley?
He did when he was an apprentice, that was one of his tasks. It does not matter how long they have been in the job mate, if the team play ****e, then they get what they deserve. When they play well they get the cheers and plaudits, surely it has to go both ways?
It does work both ways, but a bloke would expect a bit of time to get his feet under the table before the criticism starts. I just hope it all ends soon cause it is getting a bit boring.
I dont think the criticism was at him personally, he just made it that way. It was at the whole team performances, not at Hill himself. He made things a hell of a lot worse than they were. Remember it was 3 games on the bounce, not just one poor performance, maybe it made him realize just how hard the job was he had taken on? Anyway I am pleased with the performances since, so it may have worked for the best.
Hill's concern was his players confidence. Booing solved nothing, players and managers know only too well when they've played poor.
4 games undefeated attractive football not seen for years I let the team do my talking , well done guys and keith.
Mebbe they booed at the end of the game rather than 20 minutes in to the first home game of the season and didn't take the **** everytime a player caught it or made a tackle. Mebbe, like.
Mebbe just mebbe, if the team had not played like a bunch of under performing 8 year olds for 3 games, not 1 , not , but 3 games, then he would have been right to complain. But they were absolute dog ****e for 3 games, yet he said he was pleased with them after the match!! Get real mate. If he cannot take it then he should not dish it either.
Which bit is wrong? The fact we were rubbish, the fact he was pleased with the players? Or maybe it is the fact that he shouldn`t be allowed to complain about the fans,if the fans cant complain about the rubbish served up before them in 3 games? Just which bit was boring and wrong? Goodnight Andy!
