Tha supposed to be a mate!!Lol Laura's been told she only needs to attend hospital once a week, not twice. So today she's at college. Another small step forward, but a step forward nonetheless.
How about naming one of the stands after a former player. The fans create a short list and then it is done via a voting system 1 fan 1 vote or a phone line voting sytsem whereby all profits made go to the club or a club charity and fans can vote as many times as they wish.
Yes, but the truth hurts!! I'm going to ask Laura to do all my uni work for me. I'm sure she'll say yes(!)
Re: Name one of the stands the Reverend Tiverton Preedy Stand I like the kit idea. Arsenal changed their home kit a few years back for the last season at Highbury, to be same as their original kit. But I'd go along with having it as the away shirt.
I wouldn't have a problem with that. However, I think a stand named after Rev. Preedy ought to take place first.
Re: Name one of the stands the Reverend Tiverton Preedy Stand The Tommy Taylor Stand The Ronnie Glavin Stand The Ernest Hine Stand The Eric Winstanley Stand The Mick McCarthy Stand The "Spud" Murphy Stand The Neil Redfearn Stand Just posting some potential ideas.
Arsenal I see Arsenal went for a crest design to celebrate theirs (and kits) http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/125-years-in-the-making-anniversary-crest
Re: Name one of the stands the Reverend Tiverton Preedy Stand east stand- the carl tiler stand fllodlights - the john beresford floodlights toilets - david geddis toilets (didnt we have a poster with a nickname of that?) north stand - the ashley ward stand but seriously the norman rimmington east stand sounds about right
Got to be the West Stand thats renamed, in fact there's a few in there that are a few years older than Rev. Preedy. A renamed stand, a limited edition football shirt, discounted ST and a tea towel all have my vote.
Re: Arsenal I'm sure some of our more talented & creative posters on here could come up with something appropriate.
Chuckling at the thought of Farnham & Celebrity Monkey being older the the Reverend, mate!! I'd have suggested the East Stand, purely because I believe it'll last a lot longer than the West and it's the most impressive and imposing.
Re: Name one of the stands the Reverend Tiverton Preedy Stand Surely it would have to be the Harry Tuffnell stand? Definitely need some form of comemorative shirt and maybe a scarf, pin badge and a book. And can't they at least try and tidy the West Stand up a bit? A bit of paint and sort out the exterior wall - looks like something out of Belsen.
Or what about this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BrotherWalfridCelticPark.jpg Cost £30,000 funded by Celtic fans with a £5,000 donation from the chairman at the time.
