Trying hard not to laugh. 9/11 was a very sad day, in stark contrast this is a pop-group calling it a day. Now all we need to hear is that the Manics, Morrissey, Radiohead, Coldplay, and any other gobsh ites who mistakenly think their art is in some way 'relevant' have gone the same way, and we can throw a street party.
So if Barnsley get relegated in May, will we not be able to describe that as a "sad day"? REM / Barnsley are both in the "entertainment" industry (loosely at times!) - each to their own, whether you like them or not, right?
You clearly have no concept of how strong the word "sad" is if you think it can be used in connection with the events of 9/11.
