Seems to be a fans favourite wherever he plays, winning POTY awards so cant see him being much different here. Great engine.
I like the lad, mate. It's just that I can never understand why people pre-judge someone based on the comments from fans of his previous club, the club he previously played for and the level where he's been playing. To me it's totally irrelevant, it's how he plays for Barnsley that matters. For example, Trevor Aylott got dog's abuse from Chelsea fans when he was there, but is still regarded as a legend by Barnsley supporters nearly thirty years after he left because of his performances for us.
Was reading a Brum message board yesterday and they didn`t rate our Trev either. Some players and clubs just seem to gel.
Correct. Just because a player has done well (or poorly, for that matter) at one club, doesn't automatically mean he'll repeat it at another. Which is why I think a player should be judged on what he does for Barnsley.
