    ....and we have some North American dwellers, does anyone know if the champions league is shown live in the US and if so what or which channel(s)?

    I live in San Francisco and have Comast Cable:

    Channel 401 - Fox Soccer Channel - They show Champions League and Premier League (free).

    Channel 725 - ESPN - They show Champions League and Premier League (free).

    There is also Fox Soccer Plus, but Comcast doesn't carry this channel.

    Some big games are shown on 801 PPV, but can be over $25 (RWC games are $35 each, plus taxes and fees).

    so england vs scotlands and irland vs italy would cost 70 :$ plus.
    flipping eck. sky sports and movies cost that a month.c

    Not wanting to hijack the thread.....but SFOTyke, I'm visiting SF for Thanksgiving (staying with friends in San Jose)....any good brew pubs you can recommend?

    Many thanks. My hotel has several ESPN channels, fingers crossed I'll be able to watch it this afternoon.

    should be able to find a sports bar with the games on anyway......Irish bars are a good bet for watching the footie.

    Not at all, I've tried looking up listings and I can't make head nor tail of em. I knew somebody here would be able to help out. I'm actually stuck in a ****ty hotel near Princeton, NJ, there's FA to do except read through the stuff I've got to read through. My body clock is all over the place waking up at 3am and falling asleep at 8pm, them apples is pants.

    I've been through San Jose

    It's weird, we'd come from Monterey which was quite cool and we were going to San Francisco which was also cool and fresh, but San Jose was absolutely red hot. 40 degrees scorchio. Come in land from the coast in that part of America and the temperature rises 25 degrees.

    according to tv listings here in dc theres no champions league on espn today. theres man utd v basel on fox soccer but my gf doesnt subscribe to fox soccer that will change when i move here.

    hope this helps and enjoy new jersey. and of course nfl lol go redskins
