fergie didn't let him go for no good reason

If he'd wanted to keep him he would have, never mind the money. Probably knew he had a bad attitude and knew what was coming and let him go.

Imagine if they fined him 5 weeks wages ...thats £1 million. ITS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!. Footballers don't appreciate just how well they are paid. The average working man could not earn that in 50 years. I agree RyhillTyke...football is a disgrace!

What an ugly freaky mong - Tevez, Tevez
Someone stitched his neck back on - Tevez, Tevez.
    His snood looks fey,
    Refused to play
    He'd rather watch Howards Way
Carlos Tevez - Citys number nine.

Football is in the gutter and has been for years. You're spot on describing it as morally bankrupt - money is at the root of all that is wrong in the game.

    I thought so

It was very Masterstrokesque, just lacked traditional Deacon reference.

Shoehorning a ridiculous reference in just because it rhymes, a classic TM device from the old skool. Bring back the Friday battle raps.

It's got a rhyming triplet: fey, play, way. Far more complicated than anything the great Richard Kell has ever produced.

Why can't they / don't they terminate his contract, for breach of contract? Presumably his contract says that, if selected, he has to do what he is paid to i.e. play football? It would be an interesting test-case, but I fear these players have just too much power nowadays. What's the difference between football as a form of employment and any other job? I can't see many employers letting someone pick up their salary when they refuse to do their job.
