no offence but this has been discussed before....radio dee dar are biased as fook as you say...... simply don't listen to the shlte...... i stopped and i feel much better now. They aint worth our time....silly dee dars

 

He has a valid point though; they are a license payer funded radio station and are supposed to serve the area they cover equally and without bias. Unless you pay for Barnsley Player there is no alternative and as licenses payers who don’t support either of the two Sheffield giants we are given a second rate sports service. Its not fecking good enough and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

When them ****s play there's normally 2 Championship teams, 3 League One and 1 League 2 to cover.

Can't understand anyone's problem at the moment

On Saturday I listened to pre and post match interviews with Keith Hill, like there is every week. Good questions by the interviewer and good responses by Keith. Plus there was an excellent full match commentary with a really knowledgeable summariser in Andrew Lodge.

Yesterday, another full match commentary, this time with Derrick Parker summarising, who in my opinion is the best at that job on the station. Plus the build up to the game had extensive interviews with Keith Hill and Luke Steele. There was pretty much three hours devoted to the reds.

The majority of our away games have had full match commentary, as it should be.

And Whitey has shown that if you actually ring the station wanting to talk about Barnsley then they'll put you on the radio. He's got a 100% hit record hasn't he?

We're getting good quality coverage as far as I'm concerned. It's true that the majority of callers to the station talk about either United or Wednesday, but if you want to change that then give them a ring.

Lodgey's a top bloke but then Ive met him a few times so thats just my impression. He tends to see it how I see it. When the clubs shat, he says so. When it isnt, he also says so.
He always prints my letters/emails and often emails back to discuss my points privately. I dont understand the jibes against the bloke tbf.
As for Radio Shef, I take back a lot of my previous criticisms of the station. Jay is bang on as usual. If only this BBS had more of the Jays, Dysons, Kevs and Marios and less of THEREEVs....
We have had 5 away games, Radio Shef have covered 4 of them live. The last 4. So for me, a ST holder who doesnt have Player, and couldnt get to 3 of those games, I couldnt speak highly enough of their recent work. Lets hope theyve listened to the criticism, and are going to keep up this recent fair coverage. Ok the alehouse leagues werent in action last nite, but you wouldnt have blamed them if they had chosen to go with the Donny - Hull game considering recent events. But they didnt. And as things stand currently, the quota of live games for each club looks acceptable.

Pikeys = 5
Tarn = 4
I suppose Rotherham and Chesterfield could moan that theyve had only 1 commentary apiece though.
One final point on this, I have had at least 50% of my txts and tweets read out on air. Seth told me they recieve hundreds per show so thats not bad tbf.
And as Jay says, I have never failed to get on when Ive called the show. I havent been back on since the comedic moment with Seth. I was hoping other Reds would join in but its just 2 or 3 who contribute nowadays. If you want them to discuss Tarn, text, tweet or call in. They call you back so it costs you 20p for your original call. A txt and a tweet cost nowt either. But if you dont want to, then dont moan when its all quiet on the Reds front...
