    change of conversation time I think?

    So my question is, Did you become what you wanted to be from when you were a Kid?

    I wanted to be in the Fire Service but ended up in Sales??

    Just wondered if you got to what you wanted to be and is/was is as good as you expected ??

    An early age I wanted to be an astronaut - I didn't get to be in case you were wondering!

    But when I was 14 or 15 I wanted to get into computing and I did.....it's poo!

    I wanted to be, in no particular order:

    Physio
    Solicitor
    History Teacher
    Politics lecturer
    Sports Psychologist

    And I'm now a 'design manager' for a mobile phone company. So, no.

    Ended up being a Mac Operator/Pre Press wizard living ont other side a globe via 15 years at t'Chron.

    Plus a bit of web design and music guru work ont way.

    When computer studies started at Barnsley Tech for 3rd year High School students (the first year it was offered to schools, think it was in 79') . I decided i wanted to become a computer programmer.

    Worked with IT since 1984 as a programmer or as now an IT Manager.

    Things worked out as i planned i suppose!

    Wanted to be a footballer for Barnsley and a cricketer for Yorkshire. After many years in retail I have followed this with many years as a Microsoft Messaging Consultant and will probably do this til I die. Unless Barnsley or Yorkshire ring.
