most teams round us offer discounts ,we do... but talk to everyone they all assume every game is £30.00 . which it is not .and go no further ...cant afford £30:00 . Don't understand offers, or category Adults Category A: £30 Category B: £23 Category C: £16 OAP's & Students (18-20) and Juveniles (U18) Category A: £18 Category B: £13 Category C: £11 Juvenile (U12) Category A: £7 Category B: £6 Category C: £5 and the discount card. other teams attract bigger attendances. We need to ditch this idea we are a little club. considering the players and footy we play we aught to be attracting more people back . the discount card that's on offer should be publicised in other media. now offering 17 match season ticket....if you don't go to Oakwell,read a match-day programme,surf official site how do you know about the offers! attracting NEW SUPPORTERS ,NEEDS ALTERNATIVE MEDIA SOURCES.what about traffic information signs BIGGER ADVERTS IN THE CHRON and or Yorkshire post ,supermarkets where potential fans and families go! get the town talking about there TEAM
Is it too much to ask that if someone is a "fan" they might actually take time to find things out themsleves - checking the OS, reading the Chron, speaking to mates or coming on here. It's not difficult. I'd say if someone isn't showing any interest they're not really a fan. Walking down Pitt Street before the Coventry game three different people asked about the match - "Who are we playing?" they all asked. I was going to say "Barnsley are playing Coventry - why, who do you support?"
Aye you are probably right. If people aren't going to Oakwell ever, not reading the Chron, not visiting the OS or here, it would suggest that they are not interested in coming to any games. If we do an exceptional offer, such as a £5 or £10 game, then it may be worthwhile casting the net further but other than that we probably wouldn't get the advertising costs back in sales.
