    I see he got injured last night. I seem to remember predicting that he would keep their physio busy. LOL.

    he got injured in training earlier in week.

    Oh right, must have misheard on Radio Sheff last night when I got back in car. They made it sound as if he had been taken off. Physio still busy though.

    Some players will keep the physio's bed warm most of their careers but clubs still seem to want to them on their books. Amazing really because in normal life if some of us had an absence record from work similar to the injury records of some players they would never get another job.

    Are they classed as Industrial injuries?

    if a player gets injured whilst performing duties for his club, Training, playing etc. Then no doubt they will be continue to paid to the end of their contracts as they got injured whilst at work. Don't they have to be insured for this type of thing?

    Clubs do take a risk when employing players who have a history of being injured though, so little sympathy there if their gamble with one of these players doesn't pay off.
    With Kirkland, It seems Donny they have gone for a name, without really doing their homework re his injury.
    Thats the gamble. Wonder how much it cost them to have him there for that short period?
