Absolute disgrace Just underlines the fact that its not sport any more, its just business. Money has ruined football and it will surely ruin Donny.
if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. they can't can't have any serious ambition of promotion this season because according to Ryan on dee darr a short while ago, they are going for promotion this season. Sounds like everyhtings above board though. Here's hoping they fall flat on their arses.
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. I'd imagine they will be using the rent-a-foreigner model to replace the high earners they are looking to shift. Then have a squad financially balanced with a few fancy dans thrown in. Thing is, by giving the £2k a week model in a newspaper article aren't they giving other teams a figure to aim a little higher with. Bit like a release clause in reverse?
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. I can't stand Donny Rovers or their arrogant fans. Hope it fails for them. I have no time for them whatsoever.
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. Thats really going to build teammorale aint it? Basically will players be picked because (a)they are right for that game , (b) they are the form player (c) they need to be in the team whatsoever so they can be moved on for profit asap , I think we all know the answer to that one. I know its a way of getting better players but wev'e complained in the past of loanees having no 'connection' with the fans or the club, imagine what it will be like with multiple loanees . Can honestly see nothing but a massive f*** uk for them
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. I cant see anything but failure using this kind of transfer policy.
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. I just cant see how it will work - players will never be there long enough to play together as a team. Also the comment about "Donny are not a threat to West Ham" what does that mean? I would be worried if i was a donny fan upon hearing that - because surely the intention of the scheme has to be that as well as lining Mckay and the players pockets and getting them moves that it will also help to improve Doncaster Rovers, otherwise whats the point from the Donny angle??
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. What a huge gamble, at an alliance meeting last night John Ryan told their supporters they are currently losing £3.5-£3.8 million a year, l'd be a bit worried if l were their supporters. Nothing in the long term for them and if they go down this year it could be disasterous.
Re: if they are 'not a threat to West Ham' Then.. So basically they using the club as a shop window for out of favour players and taking a cut of any sell on fee?? Purely a money making exercise and destined to fail in footballing terms.
