Do Sky program everything to pack up at the same time?

    Last week the router broke & now the Sky + box won't switch on!
    Maybe time to switch to Virgin Media!:mad:

    Turn it off at the mains or take lead out of back, put back in and leave for a couple of mins and then turn your box on. Always works for me. If that doesn't work stamp on it!

    Just phoned Sky, they said switch off at mains, press the back up button for 30 seconds then leave for 10 minutes, switch it back on then press the Sky button on the remote, 3 minutes to go!

    it,s static mine does it regular,like they say just switch it off for a minute and switch back on!

    No its knackered! Just had to phone again & they tried a different hard reset procedure which failed, "Sylvester" told me he would send out an engineer at a cost of £65, I refused to pay & told him I would cancel my subscription if it wasn't sorted for free& after speaking to his manager he told me it would be "just this once"
