Re: Got a few 96/97 programmes in front of me Just £10.50 in the East Upper (most expensive seat in the house) to see us gain promotion in 1997
They were cheaper in the Ponty and the East Stand Lower They were also cheaper if you bought them in advance.
Re: Quick correction mate Aye, according to the ref, he did. But everyone in the ground and everyone watching on Sk* knew different. Cowans throw never got a touch. Just before half-time it was.
Re: Got a few 96/97 programmes in front of me That proves that then. So, its now 200% dearer, just 14 year later... un-fcukin-real
Re: Got a few 96/97 programmes in front of me Our passes in the ponty for the prem season was £200 for my mams (adult) & £130 for mine, I was 12.
Re: Quick correction mate Something tells me a season ticket was £140 or £160 for the ponty and it went up to £200 for the prem season and then was frozen the following season. So if you look at the price of season tickets in the last 12/13 years, is £115 more such a radical increase when you look at general inflation?
My season ticket for the 1996/97 season in the Ponty End was £180, mate. It went up to £200 for the 1997/98 season.
Re: Quick correction mate Nobody ever criticised the ST prices mate. They are cracking value, and thats why I have had one since 94. I wanted to just compare everything in that era, to this. But nobody seems to know the figures apart from ticket prices.
My first season ticket was in 1981/82 and I believe it was about 22-23 quid, as a juvenile, for the west stand upper (or THE stand, as it was then). In about 82/83 I went for the first time without me dad, and season tickets were then £21 for the terrace, match day was £1.50 - Know 'cos I had to save my £1 a week pocket money from around easter to get my ST.
