Really sorry to hear the news. I didn't know him personally but he's been a big part of the BBS since I started reading/posting.

It puts a lot into perspective as both of my parents are older than 52. My condolences to his friends, family and dog.

RIP Uncle Mort. Never met him but from what I've read on here by him and by others he seemed a very genuine and kind man.

RIP Dave. Never met him personally, but he was always complimentary about our commentaries on Player and sent me some supportive messages when Oakwell AM folded. Very sad news.

    RIP Old Pal

I first met Dave when he was about 10. Being 8 years older than him our lives didn't cross too often until I met up with him in a few years ago via the BBS.

I think the last time I spoke to him was when the BBS met up at the Anglers in Wombwell when we enjoyed a chat and a few beers.

Very sad that he is no longer with us.

    Re: RIP Old Pal

Jacks post threw me on Daves age. He would have been about 14 when I first me him at a Youth Club in Wombwell.

    Very sad news indeed.

Never met the bloke, he was a late night BBSer like myself. I once offered to go help him out about 3 in the morning after posting something on here.

    RIP Morty
