With 7,500 ST holders we will struggle to get 10,000 home supporters there. Leeds will sell out the away end but l dont think their numbers will be like last year and require the terrace, so l'd guess a crowd of 16,000 tops. Last season the crowd against them was 20,309 (6763 Leeds fans) so 13,546 Barnsley fans with the adult price at £25. Surely if this game was either £23 or even £16 we would be looking at another 20,000+ crowd and the takings would be up? If they want to lower the prices to fill the ground these are the types of games we sould be doing it in. Do they want 8,500 pay on the day supporters of either club or over 12,500?
I think our policy is to charge what other clubs are charging us Leeds are charging us full whack, so we'll be charging them our top price.
Re: I think our policy is to charge what other clubs are charging us That is our policy but the club thought that offering the 1912 club it wouldn't drive away our pay on the day supporters as well but it as.
To be honest I think the Leeds game, especially being on New Years Eve, will be about the only game of the season where the price really benefits the club. I'd have made Leeds the ONLY category A game!
Re: I think our policy is to charge what other clubs are charging us but dear old mr rowing does not understand that people don't want to visit oakwell twice to see one game..... You simply cannot educate pork.
