http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15562147.stm From that angle it looks a penalty, but McNulty thinks he dived and Steele is enraged. But there was no need for McNutjob to even challenge, ball was going out. Why do they call it a penalty miss, it was on target just brilliantly saved. Davies should have had another goal.
Looks a stonewall penalty to me At the time I thought McNulty stuck his leg out and their player did his best to go over it, but from viewing it again it just looks like a trip.
Re: Looks a stonewall penalty to me To my eyes McNulty plays the ball first and then the Hull player is tripped. By the time the trip occurs the ball is already a long way clear of the incident.
Can't agree The Hull player flies like an olympic diver - if you're running like he was and get tripped you don't immediately spring into the air. was a shambolic decision, the linesman needs to get himself sorted if he's going to flag for that every game, conned easily. Leaving aside the nudge on Foster leading up to their 2nd as well. If you're going to knock an opponent like that you have to be in playing distance of the ball. Still, all academic now.
Do you want a feight about it? Or maybe get some derogatory comments in about my psychological make up. Or shall we just agree to disagree and then talk about fannies?
Re: Looks a stonewall penalty to me I thought McNulty had played the ball first, infact I was applauding the tackle when the ref ran in and pointed for a penalty.
Re: Looks a stonewall penalty to me Its one of those penalties that we would never get awarded again!
