Hi all As previously posted, I am meeting Keith Hill and Don Rowing tomorrow and interviewing them for We Are Barnsley's radio programme. If you have a question that you would like them to answer, feel free to post it here and I'll ask them it. We will be playing the interview several times throughout the week and it will also be made available as a podcast. Regards Matthew We Are Barnsley
Hi Matthew, will they be rethinking the ticket pricing for next season and do they still believe the pricing structure for this season was correct? Thanks Roy
Will you ask Keith this pertinent question please.. Is it true that the reason you initially turned down the job ere, was because you expected to get the Bumhole Lame gig? And that the u-turn was in fact down to Wilson getting that 'bigger' job? You said you will ask him, so yeah, please do. And could you post me the answer on ere as I am unable to use a PC as of now. Thanks
Are there any plans to strengthen the squad in January and conversely would players be sold if it were good business for the club?
1) Many fans feel that the team should come out to timerider as they identify with it. Why aren't the club listening? 2) In hindsight was the £30 CAT A ticket a mistake? Some of my friends don't come any more because they think it is £30 a game, every game. Could we move to a simpler, cheaper price across the board so we all know what price match tickets are? I never know when it's £30 3) What are the club doing to halt the slide in attendances? 4) Will the club be doing any season ticket offers for next years anniversary? 5) What did the club learn from the recent fans survey? Will the results be published? 6) Does Mr Rowing think the manager should use post match interviews to have a pop at the fans especially given our dwindling gates?
Make sure you tell him 'most of the fans' want timerider in at somepoint between 2.50 and kick-off as it's our song. I told him this 3 times yesterday, if it's mentioned again by more hopefully the message will stick!
What is the biggest stumbling block when signing players? Is it that agents want paying, transfer fees are unreasonable, wages are unreasonable etc? Are loan signings free (minus the wages) or do clubs expect a loan fee? Where do Barnsley sit in a financial league table compared to other Championship teams? If you could change one thing about football at the moment, what would it be?
Do you think, with hindsight, that the man hours gone in to the problem of ticket pricing would have been better spent on promoting the club and improving and creating new revenue streams? Why couldn`t the East and West stands have been charged less for matchday prices than the Ponty which is like for like with away fans?
