Two shops in town are turning customers away if they've got a poppy on WTF!!!!!!

    Just been told that 2 shops in Barnsley are turning customers away if they've got a poppy on. One is the 99P shop just down from Silkstone Lodge.

    cannot for the life of me believe thats true. either somebody's being mischievous or has a grudge against these stores.

    I got this off my friends Facebook page, says they had to close the doors at one point to stop trouble.
    The other one is the cheap shop opposite Che Bar & CoCo nightclub on Peel Street.

    Something like that, or perhaps scumbags EDL and BNP are in on it?

    I heard this at work this morning. At lunchtime I walked up Market street and their seemed plenty of people in there. Why the hell would these shops turn custom away and risk the consequences of doing something like this?
    It reminded me of the myth regarding the Meadowhall body bags and IRA.
    Perhaps some people want to believe it.
