Under Curfew due to 'common assault and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm as well as being drunk and disorderly' http://www.journallive.co.uk/north-...nile-ranger-will-miss-matches-61634-29797532/ Won't be missed either according to comments on that news story.
Don't google him! All about assaults drink driving drunk and disorderly court appearances street rows curfews and so on.
Maybe KH sees something he can work with for a couple of months. Something in a similar vain to Vaz Te. Rough round the edges, still young and immature at times.
Work ethic I wonder if Ranger and Vaz Te can play in same team, goes again this work ethic Hill wants. Ah well we cant judge him yet - at least not on his football but we can all agree he sounds a *****
Call me old fashioned But I'm not that happy we've signed a player currently out on bail awaiting trial. Of course, he's innocent until proven guilty and at the trial he may well clear his name, but now is not the right time to bring him to our club. Putting aside the moral objections, is the lad going to be in the right frame of mind to concentrate on his football when he's facing a trial that could well lead to a custodial sentence in a couple of months? My guess is that Newcastle United want him well away from the city before he does something really stupid and we're the mugs that have taken him. Anyway, I thought we'd done with this expensive loan signing business. Baffled.
Re: Call me old fashioned I hope we've put him through the correct checks this time, unlike 'O'Conner'
Re: Call me old fashioned Chris hughton wanted him at Birmingham. I can remember when the Newcastle fans came down to oakwell the other year they were raving about how good he was going to be and singing his name to the tune from Boone!
Re: Call me old fashioned Maybe he's not going to be very expensive for us, for the precise reasons you've just mentioned?
Re: Call me old fashioned To be honest mate, I wouldn't have signed him if Newcastle had paid us to take him. Even if he is an excellent footballer. I just don't think we should be signing players who are currently out on bail. I don't think it's the right thing to do. The integrity of our club means more to me than maybe winning a couple of football matches, which there is no guarantee will happen.
Re: Call me old fashioned I agree. On their forum only 13% of posters rate him...... http://www.nufc-forum.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=37373.msg745314#new
Glad to hear that Keeef has listened to what I've said.......... .............this Ranger guy might make all the difference. Because we have been crying out for a proper striker since Davies and Haynes were out injured. As for him being drunk and fighting in the street..........then this is exactly the sort of striker we need.........someone with a bit of young man about him Dont know what others on here are complaining about..........if Wikipedia said he stayed at home and liked knitting, then would the recent posters on here love him..........FFS !!!..........we are talking about footballers here!!!
