Forgot about him, How did I forget ? Well it was a really forgetable managerial time.

Molby would not have been there when Liverpool won the trophy.

I'm still completely puzzled by David Geddis

For a start I don't know how the hell we got him in the first place. He was playing for Villa and although he wasn't a regular starter he was their third choice striker behind Withe and Shaw. I could understand why he wanted to move, to get more games and that, but Villa were a top side at the time winning the Championship and the European Cup. If he was going to leave them I would have thought he would have gone to another 1st division side. Instead he chose us. It's like Man Utd's third choice striker, say Berbatov, deciding he's not getting enough games at Old Trafford so deciding to sign for us. Madness.

And then I can't understand for the life of me why we only sold him for £80,000. He was a star for us. 24 goals in 45 games and he just looked brilliant. And he liked it here. He didn't want to go. He told the board he wanted to stay. But they said no, we're selling you whether you like it or not and accepted just £80,000. Lunacy.

There's a lot of threads on this board about past players but Geddis is rarely mentioned. I don't know why because he was ******* brilliant. He should be a Barnsley legend.

And you're right, he has a European Champions medal as he was on the bench when Villa won it. He's also got an FA Cup winners medal from his time with Ipswich and a Championship winners medal at Villa.

Agreed Jay, terrific striker - clever, aware and clinical. Imagine him up front with Ashley Ward in a BFC dream team! I reckon that'd please quite a few of the ladies 'n all.

You're bang on Jay. I remember him signing and thinking 'what the ****, this just can't be true, it must be a wind up or a mistake'. I was convinced it had to be mistake but it wasn't and he was bloody good.
