Be great if we somehow manage to pull that off. I think he's out of contract next summer so i'd think Man Utd would want him back there to have a look at him close up to see if he's worthy of a new contract for them.
Perfect scenario - Keith gets him on loan for the rest of the season and we pick him up for free in the summer. Reckon there will be some competition though with the strong performances he's been turning in for us
I'd take that perfect scenario If his loan is allowed to be extended it would give Danny a big hint that they don't want him and his contract won't be renewed. Then we can try and come to some sort of pre contract agreement from January also Offering him the captaincy if Buttercup goes might sway it. It's good to have an old fashioned midfielder in the team. Someone who's not a defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder, just an all round midfielder who does both things whilst covering every blade of grass.
He went back to Manchester to train with the first team for a week during his suspension. Apparently, for that exact reason - to see how he'd come on. Tunnicliffe at Peterbro and another of their lads did too
