Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel Personally I don't think so. I think it is more to do with how some the squad might have been - in the past - before coming round to Hillcroft's work ethic. Might have included Vaz Te, Butterfield, O'Brien who knows. All that matters is he has publically lauded all three recently.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel Why? Because he has been playing well and has spoken in public of his desire to play at the highest level? If this isn't the ambition of every young professional footballer then there's something seriously wrong. The fact that Hill has made him captain, plays him every week and even risked him on Tuesday when he had picked up a knock suggests its got nothing to do with Butterfield.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel well thats rich from sir keefy ..........he himself is an arrogant tw@t if ever there was one.......................however i like it when someone can back it up which keefy is doing at the mo. hope this helps all aboard the premier league express..............toot toot
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel Hes just keeping them on their toes hard work has got us into a good position he just making sure they all keep pulling their weight.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel Jacob didnt have the best evening on tuesday, his corners were pretty poor and overall he didnt have much impact and was subbed. Was Keith was making a point, or saving his best player for sat? I tend to think that had drinkwater not been so bad in the first half that jacob wouldnt have lasted as long as he did against palace.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel Not sure. I don't like making any sort of decision after reading an interview. They are often totally different when you see them. True what he says though no matter who/what he is referring to. The team comes first.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel Hills stated before he don't like all the flicks & tricks, players try, fantastic when they come off but can be disasterous if they go wrong, think he was talking about Vaz Te just before or after he signed, so maybe thats what he's getting at, because there was quite a lot of it going on Tuesday night. and he took Butterfield straight off after he'd showboated on the edge of the Palace box, it came off like most had all night but think Keefo'd seen enough and just wanted the job done.
Re: Why does it have to be a dig at anybody? I think he's having a dig at someone but dunno if it will be Buttercup or not. If nobody in our team are showing signs of arrogance, why would he waste his time bringing it up insinuating something he would know the fans would cotton onto?
Re: Why does it have to be a dig at anybody? Didn't Hill says he was the best manager in The Championship before the Leeds game? He does trip himself up with the b o l l o c k s he talks sometimes, good job he's doing well with results and performances. I think he can't decide if he wants to be Ian Holloway or Brian Clough.
Re: Why does it have to be a dig at anybody? He said that it would be interesting to see who would come out on top of the league if every manager had the same budget (in reference to the financial imbalance within the Championship). When the interviewer asked who would finish top Keith said that he probably would (with a big grin and lots of laughing). Joking or not, I would tend to agree on current evidence.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel There were a few back heels and bits of show-boating that went on on Tuesday night so maybe he is pulling the lads back down to earth before it starts to cost them games. Or maybe he was aiming it at Butterfield, who was dire on Tuesday night. We don't know what goes on or is said behind the scenes either, so maybe something has gone down with Butts or another player that we aren't aware of. Either way, KH is the manager and if it is aimed at a player or players then he is fully entitled to do so.
Re: HILL CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF ARROGANCE - To me this reeks of a dig at Butterfiel He cant stand the smell of arrogance? Is that why he wears so much Joop??
Didn't have much impact? He played the pass for Vaz Te's first and hit the shot that rebounded to Vaz Te for his second. Colace had less impact during the entire 2010-2011 season than Butterfield had in Tuesday's game.
Re: Why does it have to be a dig at anybody? I would back him to finish top as well. What he said in that interview wasn't arrogance IMO but a judgement from a very confident manager. He did say in today's interview that there was nothing wrong with swagger if it was backed up with success.
